Based on Peter Benchley’s best-selling novel, “Jaws” was a 1975 film directed by Steven Spielberg and was considered to be one of the very first Blockbusters.

The story of the Killer Shark starred Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, Lorraine Gary, and Murray Hamilton. The famous theme was composed by John Williams.  And the film was shot primarily on location on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.

Though there were many problems during production (mostly issues with the mechanical shark), the movie went on to become one of the highest grossing films of its time, only to be dethroned by “Star Wars” a couple of years later.
