The “Poltergeist” remake trailer has just broken through the spirit world to haunt us.  Was a remake really necessary?  For that matter, are most remakes really necessary?  The answer is no. But I do admit that the trailer looks good.  Probably because the film looks just like the original 1982 version. 

It’s got a good cast in Sam Rockwell and Jared Harris.  And Sam Raimi is a producer.  And what that means is that I’ll go check it out when it hits the big screen on July 24, 2015.
