“Star Wars Rebels” aired its second season premiere this past summer.  In that episode we saw the return of Darth Vader (voiced once again by James Earl Jones).  But that was the only episode that aired for the second season.  The rest of the season continues next week on Wednesday, October 14, on Disney XD.

This new season shows the return of a couple of old favorites from “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” namely Ahsoka Tano and Clone Trooper Rex.  I really enjoyed “The Clone Wars” for the most part and was sad to see they didn’t see it through to the end.  But it does seem they may be tying up some of those loose threads on “Rebels,” which I’d like to point out is an extremely well done show.  

I was a bit standoff-ish at first and wasn’t sure I was going to watch “Rebels,” but after the premiere it pretty much had me hooked.  I just wasn’t sure if they were going to be able to capture the magnificent writing and storytelling of “Clones.” I was also afraid they were going to ‘kiddie’ it up, thereby knocking me out of its demographic.  I was pleasantly surprised that wasn’t the case.  The writing and character development on the show is really well done.  I find it to be an extremely entertaining show.
