Behind the Scenes Preview of Batman Prequel “Gotham” (Video)

A new 21 minute behind the scenes preview for Fox’s upcoming Batman prequel “Gotham” has surfaced. It premieres Monday, September 22.

I’m not a big fan of prequels, especially ones based on characters that will never actually appear. Bruce Wayne is a kid in the series. So unless they flash forward at some point, we will never see Batman. Though I have a feeling he’ll actually show up in the final moments of the series finale before they cut to black (and then cue the Joker laugh).

New “Flash” Poster and TV Trailer

The CW has released a new poster and preview for its upcoming “Flash” TV series. It premieres Tuesday, October 7th. I’ve already seen the pilot. I thought it was quite good in a “Smallville-ish” way. I plan to stick with it and see where it goes.

Ren & Stimpy Creator at Los Angeles Comic Con (Pics)

So I’m doing a little bit of a follow-up to my autograph gripe from a week and a half back. Though this one’s not a gripe. I just wanted to make mention that John Kricfalusi (Ren & Stimpy’s creator) was also at the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention on August 17, 2014, not only signing autographs but also doing caricatures and original Ren & Stimpy artwork for the fans. Prices could reach up to $150 but since this man is an actual working artist (yes, I realize that actors are artists too) and he wasn’t just simply signing his name and smiling for the camera, I think his prices were very justified.

Have you ever wondered what “Futurama” would look like if rendered in photo-realistic 3D? Well Russian artist Alexey Zakharov did. Using the programs After Effects, Nuke, 3ds Max, and Photoshop, Zakharov recreated part of the Intro to the show.

I posted one recently, but here are two more VFX Reels for Season 4 of “Game of Thrones.” If author George R. R. Martin doesn’t crank the next book out before the series catches up to him, maybe Rodeo FX can use some of their magic and create a CG version of Martin who can do it quicker. Snarkish, I know. It’s that kind of day.

Superman & Lois Lane do the Ice Bucket Challenge (Video)

Henry Cavill (Superman) and Amy Adams (Lois Lane) decided to jump on board the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge while in full costume on the set of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” Though I think it’s an incredible cause to donate to, one for which everyone should, I believe that in 10 years time people will look back at this ice bucket fad and hang their heads in shame. There has to be something better and less idiotic. How about making everyone do 100 jumping jacks (promoting health and fitness) instead of giving them hypothermia? Though I will admit, the hypocrite in me does enjoy some of these videos. So here’s this one!

AMC has released a brief featurette for the upcoming “Breaking Bad” prequel/sequel “Better Call Saul.” It has series creator Vince Gilligan and showrunner Peter Gould asking the question “how did Saul Goodman get his name?”

Full Superman Costume Revealed from “Batman v Superman”

Here are some more pictures from the Detroit set of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” These showcase Henry Cavill in his full Superman costume. It appears they lightened the colors up this time around and made them closer to the traditional Superman outfit. TMZ originally posted the pics.
