“Deadpool’s” Visual Effects Breakdown (Video)

DeadpoolWell “Deadpool” certainly became a huge runaway hit.  After watching the promos and trailers and that little sizzle reel that was done a couple of years back, I had no doubt it would do very well.  But Wow!  It’s still #1.  And I saw it twice in the theater.  I don’t do that very often.

The Superbowl Movie Trailers

Superbowl 50Every year the Superbowl finds its way to unveiling new footage from upcoming movies and this year was no different. 

Here are some short (mostly) thirty second spots from the following films:  X-Men: Apocalypse, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Captain America: Civil War, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, Independence Day: Resurgence, Deadpool, and Jason Bourne (followed by it’s first official poster).

Pics of “Aliens” Reunion (Plus Billy Dee Williams) at the LA Comic Book and Sci-Fi Con

Carrie Henn and Lance Henriksen Reunite Main PicOn January 10th, the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention held a reunion for James Cameron’s “Aliens” at their new location (The Reef). 

In attendance from that film were Michael Biehn (”Corporal Hicks”), Lance Henriksen (“Bishop”), Carrie Henn (“Newt”), Jenette Goldstein (“Private Vasquez”), Mark Rolston (“Private Drake”) and Ricco Ross (“Private Frost”).

New Trailer: “Suicide Squad”

Suicide Squad TitleSet to Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” the new trailer for David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” really knocks this thing out of the ballpark.  As it stands, it’s probably the one film I’m looking forward to seeing most this year.  And that’s saying a lot considering the fun slate of upcoming films.

Know It All Joe’s “Supergirl” Observations

Supergirl Pic 77I’m still very much on the fence when it comes to CBS’s “Supergirl.”  Though I like all things Super, this show, and it’s girl empowerment message that it not so subtly tries to jam down your throat, seems to be stuck in the 90’s somewhere along with that other sub-par Super show “Lois and Clark.”
