Who Is In “The Flash’s” Multiverse? (Video)

The FlashWell, first off… SPOILERS.  And now…

Last night’s episode on the CW’s “The Flash” (‘Welcome to Earth-2’) had our heroes finally take the trip into another dimension to what they call Earth-2.

Earth-2 is part of “The Flashes” multiverse.  And what’s the ‘multiverse?’  It’s basically an infinite amount of alternate dimensions which consists of different Earths where duplicates of most everyone exists, but their personalities and situations may differ from one another.  And what’s exciting about this is that different superheroes (or versions) may exists on these different worlds.

In other words, enter “Supergirl.”

The Flash and Supergirl“Supergirl” exists in a different universe than “The Flashes” so a crossover would have been very difficult to do.  But with the multiverse in place, The Flash can now travel to these different Earths and partake in adventures he normally wouldn’t be able to.  It’s actually pure genius from a story standpoint.

Basically, the show can do anything.  It can now jump networks and visit other shows that wouldn’t normally make sense.  It can also essentially bring back any character that had been killed off, but as an alternate version of themselves (which it’s already done).

So last night we got a small peek into its multiverse.  And with that gave us our first glimpse of Supergirl on “The Flash.”  It’s already been reported that The Flash will make the jump to CBS to visit that show on March 28.  So this just served as a small Easter egg of things to come.

So what did they show us?  Check out the video below followed by screenshots of each multiverse character seen in the video.  Following that is an inside look into the episode with executive producers Todd and Aaron Helbing.

And I really hope we get to see John Wesley Shipp’s The Flash on this show at some point.  That would be just insane.

I love this show.
