New “Sherlock” Trailer for “The Abominable Bride”

Sherlock The Abominable BrideBenedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman return as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson for yet another sleuthing adventure entitled “Sherlock: The Abominable Bride.”  Only this time the clock gets set back over 100 years and we find are heroes in the year 1895.  No, this is not “Doctor Who” so there is no time travel involved.  Instead, Steven Moffat brings us a one-off special that is not part of the show’s current continuity.  It’s more of a ‘what if the show took place back in Victorian Times’ scenario.

Watch One Of “SNL’s” Funniest Sketch in Years (Video)

Saturday Night Live TitleI’m an occasional watcher of “Saturday Night Live,” but I usually only tune in if they have an interesting guest hosting that week.  And unfortunately, I do find myself fast-forwarding through big chunks of the show.  I’ll watch the opening guest monologue and weekend update most of the way through.  But a lot of the comedy sketches can be cringe-inducing.

King Shark Joins “The Flash” – ‘We’re Going To Need A Bigger Speedster’

The Flash Logo Slider ImageThe Villain ‘King Shark’ made his way to the CW’s “The Flash” this past Tuesday in the episode entitled “The Fury of Firestorm.”

The graphics were actually quite good for a small screen show.  So much so, that the folks over at “The Flash” said that this scene was about all they could afford to do.  So don’t get your hopes up on seeing a lot more of this fishy villain.  Though I would be quite disappointed if he didn’t pop up again at some point in the series run.

And that being said, I think it goes without saying…

Doc and Marty Return in New “Back to the Future” Animation and Commercial

Back to the Future AnimationSo what would it actually be like if Doc and Marty came to this 2015 instead of the movie (Back to the Future Part II) 2015?  Well, I’m guessing they would be greatly disappointed.  It’s just not as much fun as their future.  I mean, technology did advance, but just not to those levels.  And the world is not exactly in great shape right now.  If only our biggest problem was Biff.

NYCC Sizzle Reels – Arrow, Flash, Daredevil

Flash Arrow DaredevilPreview reels were shown last weekend at the New York Comic-Con for superhero shows “Arrow,” “The Flash,” and the Marvel Netflix series “Daredevil.”

As much as I enjoy “Arrow,” I feel that “The Flash” still beats it in terms of quality and fun.  Lets face it, the folks over at “Arrow” need to take a chill pill and lighten up a bit.  It’s just so dour all the time.  Though, let’s keep “Daredevil” just as it is.

New “Sherlock” Christmas Special Trailer

Sherlock Christmas SpecialThe BBC has released a new trailer for it’s upcoming “Sherlock” Christmas Special.  This episode does not fall into the same continuity as the series.  It’s a one-off special that places Sherlock Holmes and Watson back in Victorian England times.  So by ditching the modern era, we get a look at what the series would have looked like if they choose to go this route.  I love it!
