In the ever-so-continuing plethora of movie reboots, “National Lampoon’s Vacation’s” number has been drawn.  Actually, they’ve dropped the “National Lampoon” from the title and it really isn’t a reboot so much as a continuation.  The other entries in the series count.

This time, we find Clark’s (Chevy Chase) grown up so Rusty (Ed Helms) taking his family back to the first movie’s destination, Wally World, before it closes it’s doors forever.   And even though Chase’s Clark Griswold and Beverly D’Angelo’s Ellen Griswold do appear in the movie, I understand they are not very large roles.   It’s most likely a passing of the torch to Ed Helms’ Rusty to continue the franchise.
