It was a sad day when “Futurama” got cancelled – Again! But at least it came back for a few more seasons after Fox canned it. It ended with a very satisfying farewell episode which left the door open for more episodes if that uncancelled door should happen to swing open once again.

On the upcoming September 23rd DVD release of “How I Met Your Mother: The Whole Story” show creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas created an alternate ending to the show. This was most likely to appease all of the fans that hated the original ending. And I strongly believe that this backlash resulted in them not moving forward with the spin-off “How I Met Your Dad.”

Just released is the new trailer for the sequel to “Horrible Bosses” ingeniously entitled “Horrible Bosses 2.” I enjoyed the first one, but felt it was probably best left as a ‘one-off.’ But hey, I could be wrong. Look how well it worked out for “The Hangover.” If they had left that at a ‘one-off’ then the world would have been robbed of two of the best comedic sequels of all-time, aptly named “The Hangover Part 2” and “The Hangover Part 3.” We can only hope that the “Horrible Bosses” sequels can rise to that level of cinema gold. It opens November 26, 2014.

Howard Stern decided to jump on board the Ice Bucket Challenge sheep brigade. At least he decided to try something a little different.
And on a side note, when are people going to learn how to hold their damn phone when making a video. It’s absolutely baffling why they record vertically instead of sideways.

Former “Doctor Who” companion and “Guardians of the Galaxy” badass Karen Gillan chopped off her hair to play the role of Nebula in “Guardians.” Hey… ‘A’ for commitment. But when you look like her, you could probably chop off an arm and a leg and still look just as good.

It’s still to early in Capaldi’s run to truly judge the new direction of the show. But so far, I really like it. I’m taking to him quicker than I did Matt Smith (who eventually really grew on me). But as much as I like the show thus far, we haven’t really gotten a good grasp on who this new Doctor is or who he is becoming. It may be intentional or it may be that Capaldi and Moffat was still searching for the new Doctor’s voice at this point.
