“Constantine” is based on a DC comic book called “Hellblazer.” In short, it’s about a demon hunter who lost his soul to hell and now travels around the country with the daughter of an old friend, who herself has abilities, and together they vanquish demons back to hell.

So what’s it like to be an audience member for the taping of a late night talk show? Well, let me tell you. For quite some time, I’ve meant to go see a live taping of “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” but it was always one of those things that I put off because I could do it anytime. But as soon as Ferguson announced his plans to leave the show by the end of the year, that thing I kept putting off became a ‘now or never’ situation.

So as long as I’m on a prank call roll, I thought I’d throw one more in. This is probably my favorite prank call done by Richard Christy of the “Howard Stern Show” on SiriusXM. Richard and his comedy partner, Sal Governale, routinely do prank calls on the Stern Show. This one, though, has always stood out to me. I remember the first time that I heard it, I just couldn’t stop laughing. And I was amazed at the complexity of it. So once again, I present another prank call for your pleasure.
The comedian Jim Florentine is undoubtedly one of the best prank callers of all time. I’m sure everyone has their favorite prank call, but I’ve been reciting this one with a good friend of mine for years now and it shows no signs of slowing. It just never gets old. The Batman prequel series “Gotham” has been picked up for a series order. The story follows young Jim Gordon’s days on the Gotham police force years before Batman arrived on the scene. In the series, Bruce Wayne is still a child who has just witnessed the murder of his parents. And a lot of bad guys are going to wish that event didn’t happen when he grows up. We get younger versions of The Riddler, The Penguin, Catwoman, etc… I’m not usually a fan of prequels because they just tend to spin their wheels until the more interesting part of the story comes along years later. I very much enjoyed “Smallville,” but quite frankly, I just wanted to see Clark Kent become Superman. Which he finally did ten years later for all of about two minutes. But I am going to check this out. And unless they do a time jump, Bruce Wayne will obviously never become Batman in the series (for which I doubt the feature film division will allow). But hopefully the series can stand on it’s own two legs and show us a more interesting part of Gotham City other than its Dark Knight.

I thought I’d do something a little different with “The Amazing Spider-man 2” review and turn it over a contributing writer who likes to go by the name of ‘Brain Dead Bob.’ Or if you’re a really good friend, he allows you to just call him ‘Brain Dead’ or ‘BDB’ for short. When I asked him why he chose the pseudonym‘Brain Dead Bob’ all he gave me in return was ‘what’s a pseudonym?’ I felt it was best to stop asking him questions at that point.
