Supergirl Pic 77 I’m still very much on the fence when it comes to CBS’s “Supergirl.” Though I like all things Super, this show, and it’s girl empowerment message that it not so subtly tries to jam down your throat, seems to be stuck in the 90’s somewhere along with that other sub-par Super show “Lois and Clark.”

Supergirl Pic 77 CBS releases a new promo for their upcoming superhero show – “Supergirl.” This one actually shows new footage beyond the pilot. We get glimpses of some new villains and the first shot of Peter Facinelli’s Maxwell Lord.

“Supergirl” CBS TV Pilot Review

Um… SPOILERS! Lots and Lots.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It’s the TV division of Warner Bros not having the legal rights to use Superman in a TV series due to their feature film franchise. But they did give us the second best thing. We got us some Supergirl! And she comes in the form of actress Melissa Benoist (Glee, Homeland, Whiplash).

First Official Look at “Supergirl”

If you haven’t heard by now, Warner Brothers is making a “Supergirl” live action show for the CBS Network. Melissa Benoist (Glee, Whiplash) stars as everyone’s favorite female Kryptonian (and Superman’s Cousin) Kara Zor-El.
