20th Century Fox has just released the trailer for “Independence Day: Resurgence.”  This is the sequel to Roland Emmerich’s 1996 alien invasion film in which a bunch of alien baddies tried to get the one-up on the human species, but failed thanks to the likes of Will Smith and others. 

Only this time around they might succeed because Will Smith said “Nah Nah’ to coming back for another round of alien madness.  He’s much too busy playing in Batman’s world now.

But there are other names that have jumped back on board, such as Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, Vivica A. Fox, and Data, er, I mean Brent Spiner.  Didn’t he die in the last one?  Opps, spoiler alert (for a 20 year old movie). 

Others such as Liam Hemsworth, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Sela Ward, and William Fichtner join the cast this time around.  Roland Emmerich directs once again.
