Another week came and went for that everlasting Timelord known only as ‘The Doctor.’ This weeks episode of “Doctor Who” had the Doctor facing off with that legendary thief of the forest himself – Robin Hood! Oh yeah, and his merry men.
Former “Doctor Who” companion and “Guardians of the Galaxy” badass Karen Gillan chopped off her hair to play the role of Nebula in “Guardians.” Hey… ‘A’ for commitment. But when you look like her, you could probably chop off an arm and a leg and still look just as good.
It’s still to early in Capaldi’s run to truly judge the new direction of the show. But so far, I really like it. I’m taking to him quicker than I did Matt Smith (who eventually really grew on me). But as much as I like the show thus far, we haven’t really gotten a good grasp on who this new Doctor is or who he is becoming. It may be intentional or it may be that Capaldi and Moffat was still searching for the new Doctor’s voice at this point.
I thought I’d throw a shout out to this extremely well done fan-made “Doctor Who” series 8 Intro. I think I like it better than the one they choose to go with (which I’ve included below it for comparison sake).
In the current issue of Radio Times, the UK weekly television and radio program listings magazine, showrunner Steven Moffat provides a listing for all of the upcoming episodes of “Doctor Who” Season 8. I’ve added the listings below.

(Very Minor Spoilers – so turn away now if you absolutely want to know nothing at all).
So yes, I viewed that preliminary copy that leaked online of the Season 8 premiere of “Doctor Who” which officially airs next month on August 23rd. It had unfinished effects, a temp music track, and was in B&W. It was not meant to be viewed by the general public.
The BBC has finally released a full length trailer for season 8 of “Doctor Who.” I present it to you now. Screenshots follow.
Here is an old video clip that made it’s way onto YouTube a few days back showing a Japanese Kung Fu version of “Doctor Who.” I found it amusing enough to share. So consider it shared!
Here is the new Doctor Who Season 8 Teaser Trailer which has just been released. From the sounds of it, it seems as though Davros (creator of the Daleks) may be back. That guy just never dies!
