It’s A Shiny, Brand New “Batman v Superman” Trailer (and Poster)

What most likely is the last new full trailer for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has arrived this morning.

There’s new footage to be found in it, including a kick-ass Batman scene, but the theme pretty much remains the same. Batman doesn’t trust Superman because of that Metropolis destructo-fest in “Man of Steel” and decides to do something about it.

Marvel’s “Agent Carter” has scored a Visual Effects reel online.

CGI has always worked best when it supplements the image and doesn’t fully engross it. And this twelve minute reel is a perfect example of CGI done right.

Now You Can Fly to Gotham City or Metropolis (Videos)

Aired during Superbowl 50, Turkish airlines aired a couple of fun commercials advertising the fact that they now fly to the fictional Gotham City (home of Batman) and Metropolis (home of Superman).

Every year the Superbowl finds its way to unveiling new footage from upcoming movies and this year was no different.

Here are some short (mostly) thirty second spots from the following films: X-Men: Apocalypse, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Captain America: Civil War, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, Independence Day: Resurgence, Deadpool, and Jason Bourne (followed by it’s first official poster).

So who do you think would win in a fight – Ant-Man or The Hulk? Okay, stupid question. I think we all know the answer. But I’d still like to see it. And here is the closest we’ll come anytime soon.

SNL’s “Bern Your Enthusiasm” With Larry David (Video)

Every so often I think to myself “why the hell won’t Larry David do another season of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm?’”

My understanding is that HBO would welcome it with open arms. But interviews with Larry over the last few years have indicated that he is skittish to return to that well one last time. He has gone on record as saying that he doesn’t like doing ‘finales’ especially since the fallout from that “Seinfeld” fiasco many years back. So I’m guessing maybe that’s his hesitation. He knows he would probably only return one more time and he doesn’t want to take any crap if he ended it on a low note. I certainly think it’s worth the risk.

On January 10th, the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention held a reunion for James Cameron’s “Aliens” at their new location (The Reef).

In attendance from that film were Michael Biehn (”Corporal Hicks”), Lance Henriksen (“Bishop”), Carrie Henn (“Newt”), Jenette Goldstein (“Private Vasquez”), Mark Rolston (“Private Drake”) and Ricco Ross (“Private Frost”).

New Trailer: “Suicide Squad”

Set to Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” the new trailer for David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” really knocks this thing out of the ballpark. As it stands, it’s probably the one film I’m looking forward to seeing most this year. And that’s saying a lot considering the fun slate of upcoming films.

First Trailer: “Pee-wee’s Big Holiday”

Netflix has released the first trailer for Pee-wee Herman’s new film, entitled “Pee-wee’s Big Holiday.” And I have to say it’s great to see Paul Reubens return to the titular character that made him famous so many years back.
