Behind the Scenes of “Mad Max: Fury Road” (Video)

Mad Max Fury Road Title CardI don’t think there is a movie I am looking forward to more this summer than “Mad Max: Fury Road.”  Everything about this movie just looks completely awesome.  And I need at least one awesome film this summer.  Yes, we still have “Terminator: Genisys” (god I hate that spelling – I have to look it up every time) and “Tomorrowland,” which I’m sure I’ll enjoy, coming out.  And there is even “Jurassic World.”  But “Mad Max: Fury Road” looks as though it may kick real ass.

Avengers Age of Ultron PicWhat about that new “Avengers” movie you ask?  I enjoyed it.  I should have reviewed it.  The review part of this site will kick in again soon.  But the short of it… I was a tad underwhelmed.  Not because I felt that it fell short anywhere.  I think it’s just because I’m beginning to feel a bit of Marvel fatigue.  I love everything they’re doing.   But I’m just having a difficult time getting really excited about it lately.  Plus, lets face it — that whole last act of that film was just basically the exact same action as the first movie (which I enjoyed better).  What I mean is that instead of them battling thousands of aliens, they instead battled thousands of robots.  It was a bizarre choice to hit the same beat.  I still liked it, though.  But I’m more excited for this film.

What follows is a behind the scenes featurette for “Mad Max: Fury Road”, then some B-roll footage.  Pretty cool stuff, actually.  Then six scenes from the film itself.  If you want to go in fresh, then maybe avoid.

So buckle that seat belt and lets go for a ride.  It roars into theaters on May 15th.
