FANTASTIC NEW SPIDER-MAN BOOK FROM TASCHEN

A fantastic new Spider-man book has just hit the market.  It comes from TASCHEN, a company that I have bought many wonderful books from.  They are known for marketing these HUGE OVERSIZED editions.  I love these things.  It’s just that I don’t have anywhere to put them any longer.  They don’t exactly fit on a bookshelf.  (They do market many normal-sized books as well.)

The Flash/Supergirl Crossover Episode Poster and Synopsis

Flash Supergirl Crossover Poster PicOn March 28th, the CW’s “The Flash” comes to CBS’s “Supergirl” for a one-off guest shot.

The episode is entitled “Worlds Finest” and finds Barry Allen traversing the multiverse and ending up on Supergirl’s Earth.  As it is, both shows don’t exist in the same reality, which allows both networks to not have to keep any kind of continuity between shows.

Know It All Joe’s Mashup Friday (Calvin and Hobbes vs. Shatner’s Twilight Zone)

It’s been a while, but it’s time for another Calvin and Hobbes Mashup.  This time, Calvin and Hobbes torments William Shatner in the “Twilight Zone’s ‘Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.’”  I think Shatner may have been better off with the gremlin.

“Suicide Squad’s” Jared Leto as The Joker

Suicide Squad Title CardJared Leto was missing from the “Suicide Squad” cast photo the other week, but now comes a stand-alone with him seemingly in Joker makeup.  The photo is taken in a way that is to remind us of Alan Moore’s cover for his 1988 Batman Comic “The Killing Joke.”  That’s the comic that finally gave the Joker an origin story and paralyzed Barbara Gordon (Batgirl).  And – SPOILER (but hey, it’s 27 years old so come on now) – it’s the one where Batman may or may not have killed The Joker at the end (which I guess is still in debate).

“Fight Club 2” is Almost Here! (In Comic Book Form)

Fight Club 2 SoapI don’t know about you, but I was a huge fan of the David Fincher’s film “Fight Club.”  But I always saw it as just a ‘one-off.’  Never saw a reason for a sequel.  And I’m not really sure I want one.  The first film was just perfect.  Why mess with it?  I don’t need another “Blue Brothers 2000” or “Crystal Skull.”
