“Game of Thrones” Season 6 Full Trailer (Plus Screenshots)

Game of Thrones Season 6 Pic 17HBO finally released a full trailer (with actual footage) for the upcoming sixth season of “Game of Thrones.”  It’s about time, right?

And, of course, you’re going to want to know if we get to see lots of Jon Snow moving about in the trailer.  And my answer is… what do you think?  Do you really think they’re going to show his fate in the trailer?  Really?  Well, we do get a shot of him in the beginning, but he’s not looking so good.  Someone may want to call 911.

“Game of Thrones” Season 5: A Day in the Life HBO Special (Watch Now)

Game of Thrones Title CardHBO has just release their almost 30 minute Behind the Scenes Special on the Making of “Game of Thrones” Season 5.  It covers a lot of ground and really makes you appreciate the folks who work their butts off behind the camera.  And you also get a good idea why we only get 10 episodes a year.  They are filming basically a 10 hour movie.  And that takes lots and lots of time.

“Game of Thrones” Season 4 VFX Breakdowns (Videos)

I posted one recently, but here are two more VFX Reels for Season 4 of “Game of Thrones.”  If author George R. R. Martin doesn’t crank the next book out before the series catches up to him, maybe Rodeo FX can use some of their magic and create a CG version of Martin who can do it quicker.  Snarkish, I know.  It’s that kind of day.

Game of Thrones Season 4 Behind the Scenes VFX Reel (Video)

Here is a neat behind the scenes Visual Effects video reel for “Game of Thrones” Season 4.  The effects on this show are incredible and rival any feature film being made today.  I’m always amazed by the technology and kudos to the artists who make these things come to life.

Game of Thrones “The Mountain and the Viper” Graphic Screenshots

Game of Thrones Title CardLet me start by saying these pics are EXTREMELY GRAPHIC!  Yes, it’s not real.  It’s only TV.  But they are gross all the same.

The “Game of Thrones” episode these come from is entitled “The Mountain and the Viper.”  It aired Sunday, June 1st, 2014.   I thought overall the episode was all right.  Violence, of course, but nothing out of the ordinary for “Game of Thrones.”  As the episode approached the end, I just figured it was going to be a quiet one leading up to the last two epic episodes of the season.  I was wrong.
