Star Wars Episode VII New Set Photos

Star Wars LogoIt pains me to say this but you have to give it to TMZ.  Those sons of bitches have spies everywhere.  As despicable as I find their site at times (which is almost all times), it is stupidly entertaining.  They’re like an ex-girlfriend that you really hate, but continue to be drawn back to.  Though I am tempted to take their bus tour.

New Photos from the Set of Terminator: Genesis

Terminator 5 PicSome new set pics have hit the interwebs today from the set of “Terminator: Genesis.”  In this continuation – reboot of sorts, “Game of Thrones” Emilia Clarke portrays the tortured heroine Sarah Connor this time around.  On an interesting note, her “Game of Thrones” co-star Lena Headey portrayed the same character for the TV series version (“The Sarah Connor Chronicles”) a few years back.  Jai Courtney portrays Kyle Reese, Jason Clarke does some John Connor, and finally, everyone’s favorite Governator returns to the role he originated.  Need I really say his name.

Did You Know That Ben Affleck Played Superman?

ben-affleck-supermanI have to admit that I forgot about this little known film called “Hollywoodland” where the soon-to-be Batman once played the role of Superman.  Okay, to be more accurate, he actually played the role of George Reeves who played Superman.  The film was about a private investigator looking into the supposed suicide of George Reeves who many believed to have been murdered.

Spoiler Photo Revealed from MacFarlanes “West”

A Million Ways to Die in the West PosterSpoiler.  You’ve been warned. I did a more extensive article on this reveal just a short while back.  You can access it HERE

Seth MacFarlane included a neat little cameo in his soon-to-be released film “A Million Ways to Die in the West.” Personally, I would have preferred not to be spoiled on this one, but what can you do?  Damn you, Internet!!!  Actually, that’s unfair.  The internet isn’t to be blamed for this one.  It’s the marketing department for the film that did it this time.  I first learned of this cameo from the trailers for the film.  I can only assume they included it as a marketing ploy to bring in more people to the flick.  But sometimes it’s best to hold a little back.  I’d rather not watch the whole movie in a two minute trailer.  Anyhow, I planned on seeing this film regardless of the cameo.  The movie looks funny.  Here’s hoping it’s more than a one off joke, but I’m not holding my breathe.

Updated!!! Video from the Set of Terminator: Genesis

Submitted for your approval is some video from the making of “Terminator: Genesis.”  It’s mostly just a lot of explosions and gunfire.  I’d say they were most likely filming scenes involving mankind’s future war with the machines.  The movie is currently being shot in New Orleans and is slated for release July 1, 2015.

New Creature Photos from Star Wars Episode VII

Sequence 01.Still004J.J. Abrams just released a short video pitching for a new “Star Wars” Charity. If people donate $10 to the charity, they have an opportunity to be in the new “Star Wars” movie.  If that isn’t cool enough, he reveals a new “Star Wars” creature in the video.  Here are a few screenshots from the video, along with the video itself.

New “Transformers” Trailer, Poster and Lots of Screenshots

I present to you the new “Transformers: Age of Extinction” trailer and poster that was just released today.  Along with a gaggle of screenshots.  They are calling this the payoff trailer, so I guess it has a ton of new stuff that the other ones didn’t have.  Does this mean that everyone from now on is going to call their big reveal trailers the ‘payoff‘ ones?  Well, good for them.  I’d rather the movie actually payoff instead.

Community: The Movie (Trailer and Poster)

Community The MovieWelcome to a new section I like to call “Movies I’d like to see from TV shows.”  In the past, there have been a few television shows that have spun off to the big screen keeping their casts intact (“Star Trek”, “Firefly”, “Veronica Mars” for example) and some that have been remade completely with new casts (“A-Team” “21 Jump Street” “The Fugitive”).

Pictures From The Grand Budapest Hotel

grand-budapest-hotelWes Anderson’s “The Grand Budapest Hotel” was quite an interesting movie.  I happen to be a big fan of the visual style of his films.  To put it lightly, he is a true filmmaker in every sense of the word.  But I’m not here right now to give a full review of his career.  Instead, I just wanted to display some pictures of the Grand Budapest Hotel model currently on display at the Hollywood ArcLight Cinemas in Los Angeles.  It’s the actual one that was used in the film.
