Jon Stewart of “The Daily Show” Bizarre Verbal Tic (Quirk)

stewart-thinkingI like Jon Stewart and I enjoy the “Daily Show.” I just wanted to state that before this next little bit.

On Tuesday, November 18, 2014 Jon Stewart visited “The Howard Stern Radio Show” on Sirius.  The interview lasted a little over an hour.  And as with all of Stern’s interviews, it was very interesting. But during the course of the interview, I noticed a little bit of a verbal quirk (or tic) that Jon Stewart would express when acknowledging Stern. At first, I thought nothing of it, but as the interview progressed, it became considerably apparent.

Guardians of the Galaxy Deleted Scenes Plus Extras (Video)

Guardians of the Galaxy PosterThis years top grossing film, and certainly my favorite for the year, “Guardians of the Galaxy” comes out on DVD and Blu-ray on December 9th.  Some deleted scenes from that release have popped up online.  I’ve included them below, along with some ‘making of’ featurettes,  behind the scenes footage, the Blu-ray trailer, and a fun little parody video.

Tons of “Simpsons/Futurama” Crossover Screenshots (with Videos)

Simpsons Futurama Crossover Pic 1“Simpsorama” was the title of the long awaited “Simpsons/Futurama” crossover.  It aired last Sunday, November 9, 2014 (Season 26, Episode 6).  In this episode, the Planet Express crew comes back in time to stop the Simpsons from inadvertently destroying the future.

Batman got himself a new partner.  She’s definitely a step up from Robin, wouldn’t you say?

So apparently the deal is that Amy Jo Johnson, the original Pink Power Ranger, said that if she raised the funds for her feature film “The Space Between” on Indiegogo she would don her Power Rangers Outfit and sing in public. So the residents of Toronto got themselves a little treat. Here are a couple of snippets below.

The Truth Behind South Park (with Video)

South Park Grounded VindaloopIf you care about “South Park” SPOILERS for an episode that has already aired, then turn away now.  Yeah, I didn’t think so.  Read on.

On this week’s current episode entitled “Grounded Vindaloop,” Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny, and Butters are stuck in a virtual reality world, or so they think.  Actually, they’re not sure.  And we the viewer aren’t sure.  Up until the very end when (SPOILERS) we come to find that it is only Stan that is stuck in the virtual world.  And when he finally takes off his Oculus Rift goggles and reenters the real world, we get this.

“The Sopranos” Alternate and Definitive Ending (Video)

The SopranosBoy, was I pissed off when “The Sopranos” went off the air back in ’07.  That ‘cut to black’ ending was such a cop out.  I realize that people either loved it or hated it.  Well I was one of the people that hated it.  However you look at it, it really was a middle finger to the fans that followed the show for years.  David Chase can justify it anyway he wants, but that’s just not the kind of closure that you give to people.  I mean you don’t have to tie up every loose end, but you just can’t end the thing mid-scene and then tell the audience, “Hey morons, fill in the rest.  I’m going home.”

In the Forest of the Night – Doctor Who Extra: Series 1 Episode 10

Doctor Who Extra Title CardSo we are now up to Episode 10 for this current season of “Doctor Who.”  The episode “In the Forest of the Night” finds the Doctor, Clara, Danny, and a whole bunch of annoying kids trying to solve the mystery as to why a new forest has grown all around London.  Actually, it’s not just London, but we find that the entire Earth has been engulfed in trees.  To make matters worse, a Solar Flare is on it’s way to Earth which threatens to destroy the planet.

Is Benedict Cumberbatch’s Khan in “Star Trek 3?”

Cumberbatch KhanBenedict Cumberbatch was recently on “The Graham Norton Show.”  Aside from doing a couple spot on voice impressions and talking about his fear of the word “Penguins,” he was asked if he was in the new “Star Trek” film.  You’ll have to watch the video below for his answer.  Don’t fear, it’s near the beginning.  But the whole thing is worth a view.  He also answers if he has a part in the new “Star Wars” film.

Between Two Ferns Title CardZack Galifianakis is at it again with another edition of his fake interview show “Between Two Ferns.”  The show mostly consists of him doing his best to piss off his guests (which can be really hilarious).   In this edition, he interviews Brad Pitt (or Bradley Pitts or Bart Pit) with a special appearance by Louis C.K..

Flatline – Doctor Who Extra: Series 1 Episode 9

Doctor Who Extra Title Card“Flatline” – Episode 9 of this 8th season of “Doctor Who” has finally brought the show up to par.  We have a fantastic mystery, a compelling villain(s) or monster(s), a situation the Doctor has never seen before, and a storyline that someone can actually follow with an ending that doesn’t make you go “huh?”
