Reviewing The Goonies Adventure Collection (One-Eyed Willy’s Map, Key, & Doubloon)

In 1985, Superman Director Richard Donner released one of the best adventure films of all time — The Goonies.  Between the exciting screenplay and the talented cast of characters, the film just really jumped off the screen and transcended the time period to essentially make it a timeless film that all could enjoy.

And now thanks to Paragon FX Group, we can now all own a tiny piece of The Goonies.  Paragon has recently released The Goonies Adventure Collection.  Included inside this collection is a replica of One-Eyed Willy’s Treasure Map, The Copper Bones Key, and a Doubloon.

These are fully licensed replicas by Warner Brothers and Amblin Entertainment.  All three items were recreated from the original surviving props from the film.

Now after comparing the replicas to the scenes where the original props were used in the film, I did notice some slight differences.   I made a video (located below) highlighting those differences while also showing in detail the contents of everything included in The Goonies Adventure Collection.

Also in the video, I go into my private Goonies collection and show off a few more replicas that I’ve acquired recently (WHICH ARE NOT INCLUDED in The Goonies Adventure Collection.)  The first is a replica of Chester Copperpot’s wallet which Mikey found when the Goonies were in the underground caverns.  And the other is a replica of One-Eyed Willy’s Eyepatch.  Both of these items can be found on Etsy.

If you’re interested in purchasing any of these replicas, click on the corresponding link below.
