Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, hosted last nights (March 7th) edition of SNL. He was actually pretty good though I found the show this week mostly laugh free. And even though you knew it was coming, they went ahead and did an “Avengers: Age of Ultron” parody. I really didn’t find it very funny at all. The best part was a line by Bruce Banner (Pete Davidson) when he said “I think I ate a guy.”
Well, they did it. The show “Community” made it to season 6. And although network TV kicked them off, something called Yahoo! Screen showed them a little love. Now maybe we’ll get that MOVIE they promised us.
AMC has released a bunch of cast photos and a trailer for the final return of its popular show “Mad Men.” This final batch of 7 episodes will wrap up the series and hopefully answer the one question that everyone has been asking for years… did Don Draper get chlamydia from all of the women he’s slept with over the course of the show. I look forward to that answer and all the others when the show returns on April 5.
HBO has just release their almost 30 minute Behind the Scenes Special on the Making of “Game of Thrones” Season 5. It covers a lot of ground and really makes you appreciate the folks who work their butts off behind the camera. And you also get a good idea why we only get 10 episodes a year. They are filming basically a 10 hour movie. And that takes lots and lots of time.

The full version of the Season 5 Trailer for “Game of Thrones” unveiled onto IMAX screens the other day. HBO then quickly released it online (due to many bootleg versions rearing their ugly heads). So here it is (the good quality version).

Last night, “The Hobbit’s” Martin Freeman hosted Saturday Night Live. There were definitely some funny moments during the show (which has improved as of late), but the best segment out of the bunch was the filmed spoof “The Office: Middle Earth” combining both his “Office” and “Hobbit” persona. And I gotta say, they pretty much nailed it. It also made me realize how much I miss the British “Office.” I may have to go back and rewatch it now.
So here I am posting another version of the “Saturday Night Live ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’” parody teaser trailer. Only this time it’s because I noticed that on Saturday Night, they aired an unfinished version of the trailer (at least on the West Coast). Several of the visual and sound effects were incomplete. But the parody trailer they posted online was the completed and finished version. So obviously at the time of airing, somebody at Studio 8H goofed.

Well you knew they were probably going to do it. “Saturday Night Live” did their own version of the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” teaser trailer last night. James Franco was the host. And for what it’s worth, they at least parodied the original cast in the trailer. But as everyone knows by now, we didn’t get a shot of either Luke, Han, or Leia in the actual teaser. But patience young Jedi’s. I’m sure it’s on its way soon. And I’m hoping it won’t look like this.
